In the 2015 elections, Lalu Yadav and JDU's Nitish Kumar fought together and won. But then differences between Lalu and Nitish arose. Nitish Kumar broke hands with Lalu and joined hands with BJP.

At present, Nitish Kumar's party in Bihar is partnering with JDU Ram Vilas Paswan's LJP while Lalu's party is with the RJD Congress.

Interestingly, Manjee, who once served as a colleague of Laluna and then Nitish, is now contesting as Asaduddin Owaisi's ally.

After the recent Jharkhand elections lost the BJP, there was renewed enthusiasm in the RJD and Congress. There is a strong possibility that these two parties will contest the Assembly elections again this year.
