Himachal Pradesh's Shimla receives snow: Temperatures drop below zero in Kufri, Manali, Killong and Kalpa

General life was lost on Thursday in a freezing cold in the Union Territory of Ladakh. In Ladakh, Leh, Kargil and Dras, Ladakh had a low of minus 20 degrees. The rivers were frozen all around. In many places, it was snowing instead of water from the hose.

In Uttar Pradesh, on the other hand, 31 people lost their lives due to cold in the beginning of the new year. However, in other states of North India, people were given partial relief from cold. The overall temperature has increased by three to four degrees here, the Meteorological Department said. On the other hand, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, many roads were flooded due to rain.

The Srinagar-Kargil highway has to be closed sooner than time due to snowfall in Kashmir Valley in November. As a result, people in Ladakh are facing enormous difficulties. The temperature was minus 18 degrees in Kargil.

The temperature in the second coldest region in the world reached minus 30 degrees Celsius. People had to stay indoors because of the freezing cold. The cold was enough that the rivers were frozen. Tourists and local children enjoyed a walk on the frozen water. According to the Meteorological Department, Jammu and Kashmir is likely to grow cold.

Heavy fog was seen at some places in Rajasthan. The forest was the coldest place in the state with a temperature of 3.3 degrees followed by 3.4 degrees in Fatehpur.

The temperature was also hovering around 4 degrees in Mount Abu, Bikaner, Sriganganagar. Temperatures in most parts of the state ranged from 12.6 degrees to 22.6 degrees. Meanwhile, in northern India, despite the snowfall in Shimla, people were relieved of a long cold wave of cold freezing in northern India.

In states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, the temperature is two to three degrees Celsius. The temperature was up. The longest spell of cold wave after 1992 was recorded on Thursday for the second consecutive day with maximum temperatures in Delhi.

The maximum temperature in Delhi was 23 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 4.6 degrees Celsius. 12 cars collided, 18 injured due to fog in Rajasthan

Twelve cars collided head-on with dense fog on National Highway-8 on Thursday morning in Rajasthan, leaving 18 people injured. Traffic jammed on National Highway due to a car accident. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.
