China should refrain from raising Kashmir issue in UNSC: India

Pakistan is once again facing a backlash in raising the Kashmir issue internationally. This time Pakistan raised the Kashmir issue informally at the UNSC with the help of China. But China and Pakistan's efforts at the UN Security Council (UNSC) failed.

India reacted to this, saying that China should refrain from raising the Kashmir issue at UNSC again. He should focus more on global affairs. India condemned Pakistan's attempt as a shame.

China, which supports Pakistan, tried to get the support of other countries at the UN Security Council (UNSC) on Kashmir, but that did not happen. On other failed attempts by China, other countries said that Kashmir was a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan.

Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Ravish Kumar said that China had tried to abuse the platform through a UNSC member through a UNSC member who held an informal discussion on the Kashmir issue behind closed doors in the UNSC.

Most members of the UNSC feel that the UNSC is not the right forum for such issues to be discussed and should be discussed bilaterally. The informal debate behind closed doors ended without any consequences.

Ravish Kumar said that Pakistan's efforts to make baseless allegations and present dangerous situations do not have credibility. He added that China needs to take the lesson from this time's event that the UNSC is not the right forum for the Kashmir issue. Countries around the world have decided that this issue should not be taken to the United Nations.
