China closes Dalai Lama's residence at Potala Palace in the wake of the Corona virus

The Chinese government has made a strategic decision to curb the spread of the Corona virus. The Chinese government has permanently closed the Potala Palace, the official residence of Tibet-based Buddhist guru Dalai Lama.

China says the Potala Palace has been closed to prevent the transmission of dangerous corona virus. Potala Palace is a cultural and religious center for Buddhists. The Chinese government has not specified how long the Potala Palace will be closed.

80 killed, 3000 infected

In Korea, Corona virus has so far killed 80 people while nearly 3000 people are infected. China's health minister said

The new virus is dangerous and spreading rapidly. The city of Wuhan, China, is the epicenter of the disease. From here the disease spreads all over the world.

The main attraction of Tibet is the Potala Palace

Potala Palace is the main attraction of Selanio in Tibet. A large number of tourists come here every year.

The Chinese government said the decision to close the Potala Palace had been made to prevent mass movement of people. So that the disease does not spread further. China has forbidden all travel agencies to sell tickets to foreign airlines.
