CAA and NRC opposition continues, opposition organized under Mamata Banerjee

Calcutta, Jan 1, 2020, Wednesday

Opposition to the new Citizenship Improvement Act imposed by the NDA government was constantly holding rallies and rallies under the leadership of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Various parties continued to strongly oppose the law, both separately and organically. However, Mamata Banerjee and BSP president Mayawati are the most talked about.

Political scholars also believe that the implementation of this law will not be easy for the central government. It's a little early. Mamata Banerjee was constantly challenging the name of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The Trinamool Congress party also filed a protest in the Lok Sabha before the legislation was made and since the day the law was made, Mamata Banerjee has been fighting against the law. He has publicly stated more than once that in my state, I will not allow the implementation of the National Register of Citizens and Citizenship Improvement Act.

It should be noted here that West Bengal has an assembly election in 2021. Mamata is worried about the way BJP manipulated Mamata's stronghold in the Lok Sabha elections and wants to continue the fight against the Citizenship Reform Act and the National Register of Citizens until the assembly elections.
