Cambridge Analytica Skander came out in 2018. The British agency was sensationally accused of stealing 8.7 million users of data from the world using Facebook. An inquiry was launched against Facebook in various countries on the issue.

A similar investigation was conducted in Brazil. The investigation revealed that 4.43 million Facebook users in Brazil had data stolen in the Cambridge Analytica scandal. In this case, the Brazilian government has fined the American social media company. The Brazilian Justice Department fined Facebook $ 16.5 million.

That means Facebook will have to pay the Brazilian government about Rs 11 crore. The penalty amount will have to be paid by Facebook within a month. Facebook has a week to review the petition. Facebook said in reference to the case that the company's experts are evaluating the verdict and only then will the decision of the next action be announced.

However, the company assured the users 'data security, saying that the social media company is taking precautionary measures to ensure that all users' information on the platform remains confidential and all efforts will be made in the coming days.
