Birth of 67385 babies in India on the first day of 2020: World Record


More than 2.5 million infants die in 2018 alone

According to a UNICEF report on child welfare, UNICEF reports that on the first date of the new year 2020, around four lakh children are born worldwide and the highest number of 67,385 children has been born in India alone.

According to the UNICEF report, on January 1, 2020, 3,92,078 children were born worldwide. India was ranked first with the highest number of births of 67,385 children, followed by China with 46,299 children. The first baby is born in the Pacific region of Fiji in 2020, while the last baby is born in the United States on the first day of the new year. UNICEF celebrates the birth of children on the first day of the new year in January of each year and calls it a special day. Of the babies born in 2018, 2.5 million newborns die within the first month of birth, and one-third of those babies die on the first day of birth.

India is expected to overtake China by 2027. According to a UN report, India's population is expected to increase by 27.3 million between 2019 and 2050. At the same time, Nigeria's population is estimated to increase by 20 million during this period so that by 2050, 23% of the world's population will be the two countries.
