Four bombs have been blasted in Assam on Republic Day. Strangely, there were no casualties reports in the blast. Three blasts took place in Dibrugarh district and one blast occurred in Charadev.
Chief Minister Sarwananda Sonowal termed the incident as a terror on the occasion of Holy Day.
Sonowal tweeted that some places in Assam have been strongly criticized for the bomb blast. Terrorist organizations have launched this horrific act of terror on the occasion of the sacred day of extinction. Our government will take drastic measures to punish the perpetrators.
The banned extremist organization, United Liberation Front of Assam, on Sunday called for citizens to call a strike, not to celebrate Republic Day.
Strongly condemn the bomb blasts in a few places of Assam. This cowardly attempt to create terror on a sacred day only demonstrates the frustration of the terror groups after their total rejection by the people.
