BKS Iyengar was born into a very poor family. But through his strong will, he gained worldwide name. Iyengar immediately agreed to offer a class to a well-known civil surgeon in Pune before him at the Deccan Gymkhana. But after six months these classes closed down and they had no income source. At that time he also spent days in which he could not find anything to eat or drink.
