Unnao rap case: Sanger will be sentenced on Friday

Former BJP MLA Kuldeep Sanger raped a woman in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao, where Sanger was found guilty but has not been sentenced yet. The court clarified that the sentence would be announced on Friday in the meantime.

District Judge Dharmesh Sharma heard the matter on Tuesday and adjourned the matter till Friday. The CBI had asked the court to allow Sanger the maximum sentence he could. He also demanded that the repairer be given proper compensation.

On Monday, the court found Sanger guilty of a rape case. They were sued under various IPC clauses as well as under Poxo. The victim was underage when the victim was exploited and raped.
