Unnao rap case: Burning victim said before going unconscious, not leaving accused

Like Hyderabad, the situation has become very serious after the accused burned a gang rap victim in Unnao, UP. He is currently being kept on a ventilator at Safdarganj Hospital in Delhi.

The burned-up girl, who was charged in the Unnao wrap case, was shifted to Delhi by air ambulance yesterday. Even before she fainted in the hospital, she kept repeating the same thing, not to release the accused.

Doctors say her condition is deteriorating constantly. She is 90 percent stricken and nothing can be said for the next 72 hours.

Due to this case, serious questions have been raised on the UP Police and the Government. The accused, who raped the victim, was released on bail and later spilled kerosene on the victim and burned her alive. He was raped in 2018. Then there were complaints in 2019. The main accused Shivam Trivedi was released on bail on November 30. He tried to burn and kill the victim as soon as he came out.

Police have arrested two persons in the case and three others are detained. According to the victim's statement, Harish Shankar Trivedi, Kishore Shubham, Shivam and Umesh surrounded me at the bend of the village of Gora when they were going to the station to catch the train to Rae Bareli at around 4am on Thursday.
