Since there is no jailer in the Tihar jail in Delhi, the jail administration has requested to contact the other jails and provide them with the executioner.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Home Ministry has rejected the mercy application of Vinay Sharma, one of the convicts of Nirbhaya Kand, as well as a public plea filed on December 12, 2018.
Mukesh, Pawan, Vinay and Akshay Haas, accused of the Nirbhaya rape case, are locked up in Tihar jail and are awaiting the death sentence.
