Thousands of koalas burned in Australia's forests

Thousands of animals are suspected to have died in a forest fire in Sydney's north. At the same time, the number of these organisms, similar to Australia's identity, may be further reduced.

Simultaneously, the increase in temperature has increased the possibility of fire in eastern parts of Australia. The central northern coast of New South Wales was home to about 28,000 koalas. But forest fires are suspected to have declined greatly in recent months.

The koala, an Australian native, is one of the most popular animals there, but their habitat is being destroyed, which poses a threat to their survival. According to Australian Environment Minister Susan Lena, 30 per cent of the koala habitat has been destroyed.

The true number of damages and koalas will come up after the forest fires have subsided and proper assessment work is done. Forest fires have burned 1,23,50,000 acres, killed nine people and destroyed over one thousand homes.

A photo of Koala drinking water from a fire is currently going viral on social media. Apart from that, a photo of a woman rescuing a fiery Koala with his own shirt also won the hearts of the people. Eucalyptus leaves are a favorite food of this animal called koala and they sleep for up to 20 hours a day because of their slow digestive power.
