Lucknow, Ta. December 28, 2019, Saturday

The government of Uttar Pradesh's Yogi Adityanath has made an important decision for Muslim women. Annual pension will be given to any Muslim woman from Uttar Pradesh who has been the victim of triple talaq. This gift from the government has been given to Muslim women since the New Year.

The government has identified 5,000 women in the state who have been victims of triple talaq. Such women will be given a pension of Rs 6,000 a year. That is, a woman will get a pension of Rs 500 a month. Usually widows receive pensions, but perhaps for the first time a government is going to pay pension to women who are victims of divorce.

There is no need for any qualification to avail this scheme, whatever pension will be given to the woman who has been victimized by her husband through triple divorce. A list of 5,000 women has been prepared on the basis of this and it has been started to benefit from this new year 2020.

Only when the triple talaq was declared a crime was announced by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to pay pension to the victim women. The government will help to ensure that a triple divorce is granted and the woman is not left in a situation where she has been released.
