The MiG-27 fighter jet will be retired from the Indian Air Force tomorrow

After repeated accidents, the Indian Air Force decided to depart the MiG-27 fighter jet. Tomorrow, on December 27, it was announced that the MiG-27 squadron would depart from the Air Force Jodhpur headquarters for ever.

According to a Air Force spokesperson, the last squad of MiG-27 fighter jets will fly from Jodhpur headquarters on Friday, December 27, and then depart from the Air Force.

For the past few years, MiG-27 aircraft have been involved in one or another type of accident and as a result the Air Force lost some elite pilots and departures. These aircraft were purchased from Soviet Russia in the 1980s.

It is also suggestive that these planes are not operating in military service in any country of the world at present.

During the last three decades, these planes served well in the Indian Air Force, including the 2009-10 Kargil War. Now it was time for him to depart, an Air Force spokesman said.
