Should Trump be fired or not? Lilliesand voting for impeachment

Washington, Ta. December 13, 2019, Friday

Impeachment proceedings against US President Donald Trump have gone ahead. Today, the Judiciary Committee of the United States House of Representatives approved a historic decision and voted against Trump for impeachment.

Members of this committee voted on whether to vote in Parliament for Trump's impeachment. Of them, 24 members voted in favor, 17 opposed.

After the approval of this committee, there will now be an impeachment vote against Trump in the lower house of Representatives of the US Parliament. If more than 67 percent of MPs vote against Trump in that poll, he may have to run for office.

In the House of Representatives, Trump's party currently holds 197, while the Opposition Democrats have 233 seats. Looking at it this way, there is a lot of possibility that the House will vote against Trump.

If the House of Representatives takes action on impeachment then matters will go to the upper house Senate. The Senate is likely to begin operations in January 2020. But Trump is the third president to have the process of impeachment reached the House of Representatives.

If matters reach the Senate, then Trump will become the second president after Bill Clinton in 1999 against whom the action will be taken. But there is less likelihood of voting against Trump. Because the Democrat has 53 members in the Senate, Republicans have 47 members.

Moreover, the decision to remove the president has to be taken by a simple majority, not by a two-thirds majority. That means at least 20 members of Trump's own party can only be removed from office if they vote against Trump.
