Pilots accidentally landed in Chhattisgarh instead of Jharkhand

Ranchi, Ta. November 30, 2019, Saturday

Assembly polls are being held in Jharkhand, the first phase of polling was held on May 30. In the meantime, some polling rights and personnel faced halakis.

Since the Jharkhand Naxal was affected, helicopters had to be taken to take over the officers, but the pilot of the Air Force helicopter had landed at Chhattisgarh instead of Jharkhand.

Election officials said that about eight of us flew in a helicopter of the Indian Air Force to reach our constituency in Jharkhand on May 29. Although the helicopter pilot landed us in Chhattisgarh, Chhattisgarh is located very close to Jharkhand but it is quite far from the area where these officers were about to land.

However, security was enhanced by the administration as soon as the helicopter landed in Chhattisgarh. Later another helicopter was sent to take over these officers. A local official later said that the helicopter pilot had picked up the wrong location and had flown on the basis of it.

However, a polling official said that the pilot had told us that the helicopter engine had been malfunctioned. We were scared when we realized that we had reached somewhere else. However, the villagers later protected us.
