Opposition parties lashed out at Modi's insistence on not discussing the NRC

Opposition parties were quick to respond to Prime Minister Modi's statement that the Modi government will never discuss the NRC. The Congress alleged that the BJP wanted to fool the entire country. When the Left parties accused the BJP of lying.

While all the political parties were protesting Modi's talk of implementing the NRC all over the country, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader Shivraj Chauhan said that the law would be implemented only but at the end of the lobby debate.
