Mumbai: Ajit Pawar gets clean cheat in irrigation scam, say!

Mumbai, 6th December 2019, Friday

Former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar was relieved that the irrigation scam worth Rs 70,000 crore was too big.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau on November 27 presented an affidavit to the Mumbai High Court in which Ajit was given a clean cheat. The interesting detail is that this same anti-corruption bureau declared Ajit Pawar the prime suspect in the irrigation scam in 2018. Ajit Pawar was chairman of Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation when he played a leading role in the 70,000 crores scandal, the Anti Corruption Bureau said in a statement.

Now the affidavit submitted that it was stated that Ajit Pawar does not have any legal obligation or position at present and therefore he cannot be held responsible for the scam.

The irrigation scandal took place when there was a Congress and NCP government in the state of Maharashtra. Now, once again the NCP and the Congress government have become the Shiv Sena, so Ajit Pawar got a clean cheat. This is the magic of Indian politics.
