Demonstrations are taking place all over the country against the Citizenship Research Bill. The Left parties have given India a binding declaration in opposition to the bill.
After looking at the situation, section 144 has been implemented in a number of parts of the country. People have taken to the streets to protest the bill in UP, Karnataka, Bihar, Telangana, Delhi.
In Bihar this morning, left-wing activists halted the train. In UP, a number of organizations are also performing in Karnataka. Article 144 is imposed in Bangalore, UP.
Police have arrested 20 protesters in the Kulbargi area of Karnataka when protesters were detained in Delhi. Chief Minister Yeddyurappa has held meetings with the police system after protests against the bill in Bangalore.

Even in Hyderabad, police have not allowed rallies or demonstrations, but in some places people have taken to the streets to protest.
Internet services and mobile calling services have also been shut down in a number of areas amid protests at a number of places in Delhi. At present, 14 metro stations have been closed in Delhi.
