Heavy snowfall across North India, Uttarakhand had to close schools today

Heavy snowfall was observed all over North India and especially in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and elsewhere. In some places, it was snowing. So life was stagnant.

In some places it was raining with snowfall. Uttarakhand received snowfall to such an extent that on Saturday, schools were ordered to be closed.

Eight of the twelve districts of Himachal Pradesh received heavy snowfall. The eight districts included Shimla, Kullu, Manali, Kufadi, Kangra and Mandi. It was snowing in all the places known as tourist destinations.

There was so much snow on Jammu and Kashmir National Highway that the roads were not visible. In some places the vehicle was stopped. Attempts were made to remove the ice with the help of a machine.

The Kashmir Valley too received heavy snow on Friday as a result of which the lives were adversely affected.
