During the CAA protests, the railways received Rs. 80 crore loss will be recovered from the storms

The Railway Ministry has announced that anyone who damages the railway's assets in protest will be recovered from the loss.

At present, CAA, NRC protests are underway in the country, which has also witnessed incidents of vandalism at railway stations and damage to railways during the violence. In the midst of this situation, the Railway Ministry has decided that compensation will be paid to the defaulters.

On Monday, Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav said that in the violence that took place in protest of CAA, NRC, the railway suffered a loss of Rs 80 crore. Eastern Railway alone suffered the highest loss of Rs 70 crore. The northern railway department has suffered a loss of Rs 10 crore. Railways were also badly affected, especially in Assam, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.

There are also reports that any person found to be damaging the railway property will be subject to Article 151 under the Indian Railways Act, which carries a maximum sentence of seven years.

In addition, there are reports that the railway may also go to court in this matter and demand compensation for the damage done. Violence will be identified through CCTV and video footage. The first violent protests in Assam were opposed to the bill after the passage of the CAA into Parliament.

It is demanded by the student organizations here that this bill will also harm Hindus as it should be withdrawn for increasing population. There were violent protests in Assam with this demand. Many were also killed. In the meantime, there were incidents of train wrecks, ticket counters, vandalism at the railway station. The same thing happened in North India.
