Doctors removed penile lid after 14 years in lungs

In a case that is considered strange in the medical world, doctors removed the penis lid from the patient's lungs after 14 years.

According to the details, in this incident in Himachal Pradesh, the patient had swallowed a pennu in 2006 from Bhul. He then vomited and felt that the lid had gone out of it. However, he was having frequent infection problems. He was often shown to doctors.

Doctors thought the patient would have asthma. Later, the patient reached IGMC, the largest hospital in Himachal, on December 1. The report came back normal when doctors performed an x-ray and a city scan.

The doctors decided to undergo a bronchoscopy test. It was discovered that a lid of the penis was trapped in the patient's lungs. The doctors then performed the surgery immediately and within 20 minutes the doctors removed the lid.

Doctors said that because the lid was plastic, it did not appear in the CT scan or X-ray.
