The record cold in northern India has frozen normal life. From Ladakh to Delhi, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and entire north India have been hit by cold waves. Mercury is creating new records here. The coldest residential area in the world reached minus 20 degrees Celsius, while Delhi recorded a low of 1.7 degrees on Saturday.

Temperatures were recorded at record low levels in many cities in Uttar Pradesh. A total of 28 people were killed due to cold in the state. In Rajasthan, the minimum temperature was minus 4 degrees. Rajasthan has witnessed three cold deaths, while Delhi has recorded 8 cold days and 7 severe cold days so far in December.

The most severe impact of the cold wave in North India has been observed in Uttar Pradesh. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is at least 4.5 degrees below normal temperature is called cold day while maximum temperature is at least 6.5 degrees below normal temperature is called seaward cold day.

Uttar Pradesh has lost 28 lives due to cold. Cold and cold waves have killed ten people in Kanpur, four in Varanasi, Fatehpur, Oraiya, Sultanpur and two in rural Kanpur. Uttar Pradesh is currently in the grip of a frightening cold wave.

In Bulandshahr, Bagpat, Bijnor, Hapood, etc., the temperature was recorded at 3 degrees Celsius. However, Mathura remained the coldest district in the state, where the temperature dropped to 2 degrees Celsius. During the day, people had to stay in the house due to the freezing cold. In many districts, fog continued to spread throughout the day.

Due to fog, low visibility had a serious impact on transportation. In many districts, the atmosphere was cloudy. Due to the cold weather, schools in many districts of Uttar Pradesh have been closed for the next few days. December 29 may be the coldest day of the season, according to the weather department.

Minus 19.1 degrees in Leh, minus 11.5 degrees in Killong

Temperatures have reached minus 20 degrees in Daras in the new union territory of Kargil district of Ladakh. Dras is considered to be the second coldest residential area in the world. Due to heavy snowfall in the Himalayan mountains, the temperature has dropped dramatically. Minus 4 degrees in the heat of Rajasthan

Delhi, Rajasthan along with Uttar Pradesh are breaking the record. On Saturday, the mercury swept down to minus 4 while the miner went to minus 1. The mercury also broke the record here on Friday due to a severe cold wave. In Jaipur, mercury has dropped to 4 degrees after five years. Jobner in Jaipur district recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1 degree. The cold here is so frightening that the water returns to the roofs, fields and trains in the morning.

Haryana has a low of 0.2 degrees, with an average temperature of 2.4 degrees in Delhi

Haryana's Hisar has a temperature of 0.2 degrees Celsius and two degrees Celsius in Sirsa. The temperature was recorded. Coldwave is likely to continue till December 31 in Haryana and Punjab. The average temperature dropped to 2.4 degrees on Saturday morning in Delhi. The temperature was lower in Lodhi Road (1.7), Ayyanagar (1.9). Cold records break, train-flight delays

No relief from the cold right now

The Indian Meteorological Department said that Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Northern Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh will get severe cold for the next two days. In many areas, the cold may drop after December 30th. Heavy fog is expected in several areas over the next three days. Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim and Odisha will also receive heavy fog over the next two days. Rainfall is expected in northeastern and central India.

2 foggy vehicles collide with 2 vehicles on Delhi-Jaipur highway

On Saturday morning, 12 vehicles were hit by fog on Saban Chowk on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Haryana's Rewari district, killing two people and injuring more than 12, police said. The injured have been shifted to different hospitals in Rewari, police said. Police have reached the scene of the incident and conducted an investigation.

Neeraj Kumar, in-charge of Bawal police station, said that the accident was caused by poor visibility due to heavy fog. Traffic jammed on National Highway 8 due to the accident. Road accidents were reported in North India due to poor visibility due to fog in many places.
