WhatsApp Co-Founder Brian Warns About Privacy Deletion of Facebook

San Francisco, CA November 11, 2019, Monday

Watsup co-founder Brian Acton once said today that anyone who has privacy concerns should delete Facebook. Acton co-founded WhatsApp with Jan Cuam decades ago. Watsup was subsequently purchased by Facebook in 2014.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wants to make money from WhatsApp. Disagreement over this issue led to Brian leaving a multimillion-dollar job in 2017. Earlier, when it came to controversy that users' information was not secure in Facebook, Brian said it was time to delete Facebook.

The 25th annual summit of Wired, the well-known magazine in the technology sector, is underway in San Francisco. At the summit, Brian said that Facebook is using your personal information to get public information. So those who are worried about maintaining their privacy are leaving Facebook.

There is a lot of personal information to be disclosed when opening an account on Facebook. Facebook claims that all of this information is limited to Facebook. But that claim proved to be false in 2017, when one of the Facebook privacy scandals came out.

At the time of the WhatsApp installation, Brian and Jan were clear not to use it to make money. But after WhatsApp bought it in 2014, Facebook thought of various ways to make money from it.

Brian left WhatsApp in 2017 after disagreeing with Mark CEO Mark on the issue. At that time, due to a hasty decision, he had lost $ 85 million worth of stock capital. Because of how long he worked, he would have to get $ 85 million worth of shares.

But on his own ethical theory, Edith Bryan wasted that hefty amount.

Facebook can be a great platform if Facebook leaves the system. But unfortunately Facebook has gone the wrong way. Facebook is earning by selling users privacy. I disagree with that, so I advised deleting Facebook and I still do today.
