Lucknow, Nov 8, 2019, Friday

Reports of a woman police inspector Lakshmi Chauhan surrendering in Meerut court after a gang of robbers robbing Rs 1.5 crore from an ATM in a bank in Uttar Pradesh.

The woman police inspector and his accomplice, all six, escaped after being accused of stealing 70 lakh against six police constables and the state government of Uttar Pradesh announced a reward of Rs 25,000 per head to the informant.

Lakshmi Chauhan and his colleagues have been running around for the last one month. However, as the buffalo police were increasing everywhere, they were afraid to get caught anytime. Ghaziabad district's anti-corruption bureau on Wednesday issued a cookie warrant against the seven persons.

Then Lakshmi Chauhan and his colleagues filed a surrender petition in Meerut court. All seven appeared in the court of Meerut. All were remanded in judicial custody for fourteen days.
