US President Donald Trump fined US $ 14 million ($ 20 million) Trump was accused of using the proceeds from a charity to campaign for the 2016 presidential election.
The court has blamed Trump for the matter. Trump used the charity money to pay for his company and buy his own painting. Trump and his lawyer have called the allegations politically motivated.

A New York state court has ordered Trump to close the Trump Charity Foundation and distribute the funds left in this foundation (about $ 17 million) to another NGO.
Last year New York State's Attorney General Letitia James sued Trump. It alleged that Trump had misused the money he had donated. James has demanded $ 28 million in compensation for this. The court, however, reduced the amount to $ 2 million.
