Three Naxals were killed in clashes with soldiers in Sukma of Chhattisgarh

Three Naxals have been killed in separate clashes with security forces in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, authorities said today.

Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundararaj P told reporters that two Naxals were killed in a rally with a joint team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Special Task Force (STF) that evening.

According to Sundararaj, the raid took place in a forest near the village of Minpa, within the limits of Burkapal police station. The rally started while they were patrolling the area.

He said two bodies of the Naxalites and five weapons were also recovered from the stadium. According to the latest news, the search operation was underway.

According to a senior official, a Naxalite was killed earlier this morning in a raid near the village of Muller on the outskirts of Phulbagadi police station.

Sukma's Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha said that Naxalites had opened fire when the jawans were patrolling the forest. The jawans also took action to respond. The body of a Naxalite was found at the end of the raid.
