The people voted for us to form a stable government in Maharashtra: BJP

New delhi date. November 23, 2019, Saturday

The BJP has defended itself on the issue of forming a government at midnight in Maharashtra. The BJP said that the people of Maharashtra voted for us to form a government. BJP law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad attacked both Congress and the NCP.

He said that only those who were accusing each other had joined hands to form a government in Maharashtra.

While addressing a press conference in Delhi, Fadnavis will give a sitar government in Maharashtra as the people wanted the BJP government to be formed in Maharashtra.

He said that Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar met the Governor and handed him the letter of support of the MLAs. After which the Governor administered the oath of office to Fadnavis as the Chief Minister while Ajit Pawar was made the Deputy Chief Minister.

Congress alleged that BJP had killed democracy. Responding to this, the BJP leader said that if Congress forms a government with the Shiv Sena and the NCP, it can be respected as a democracy but if the BJP together with the NCP gives Maharashtra a stable government, it would be considered a murder of democracy.

Ravi Shankar Prasad alleged that the Congress was adopting double standards. When asked about the alliance with Ajit Pawar, he said that it was necessary to form a coalition government in Maharashtra.

Responding to a meeting of the Union Cabinet to overturn the presidential rule, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the Prime Minister has been given some powers and powers in Rule 12 of the Government Rules in which he is free to make decisions at crucial times.

Sharad Pawar said, "We have a complete majority and NCP MLAs have no support for BJP. When asked about this, Ravi Shankar Prasad refrained from responding."
