The National Women's Commission entered the Thirty Thousand incident

New Delhi, November 8, 2019, Friday

The National Woman Commission has now entered the case after witnesses testified that the lawyers had misbehaved with the DSP who was on duty during the clash between lawyers and the police in the Thirty thousand Court last Saturday.

As CCTV footage of the incident unfolded, it was seen that the lawyers had engaged with DCP (North) Monica Bhardwaj and other police officers. Initially, Monica and the other cops appear to be running towards a crowd of lawyers. One person tries to kill Monica but the other police stop her.

While tweeting about this video clip, National Women's Commission Chairman Rekha Sharma wrote, I saw a video clip of lawyers being mistreated by a police officer ... The lawyers are treating the women police officer as rude and bullying .... I strongly condemn this behavior ... To take this incident to the fore, I am writing to the Delhi Police Commissioner and Bar Council.

Meanwhile, DCP Monica Bhardwaj will be registering her statement in the coming days with the Special Investigative Team investigating the incident ...
