Sharad Pawar should join NDA, beheaded: Athavale

Patna, Ta. November 23, 2019, Saturday

Union minister Ramdas Athavale on Saturday urged NCP President Sharad Pawar to join the NDA camp and indicated that if he joins the NDA, he will have a very good portfolio at the center.

He said that Pawar should think about supporting his rebellious nephew Ajit Pawar. Contrary to Sharad Pawar's decision to form a government with the Shiv Sena, Ajit Pawar took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Saturday morning, supporting the BJP.

Asked if Ajit Pawar's group would not have difficulty in splitting the NCP before the floor test in Maharashtra on November 30, Athavale said that Sharad Pawar should also join the NDA. They can find a good portfolio at the center.

Maharashtra-based Dalit-pro-RPI chief Athavale arrived in Patna to attend a program as Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment in the Narendra Modi government.

Calling for literal connections, Athavale said, "I have stopped the BJP from the Congress Co, the Shiv Sena, the Jatka Dia Hai and the NCP Co Government." Any grievances could have been resolved at the right time, but eventually Aman Shah, the Chanakya of the modern age, was dismissed.
