Pakistan takes US turn: passport needed, Kartarpur corridor turned over

Islamabad, Ta. 7 November 2019 Thursday

The pilgrims who attended the celebration in Kartarpur on the occasion of the 550th birth anniversary of Sikh Guru Guru Nanakdev turned down their decision that they did not need to bring a passport.

The festive celebration will be held in Kartarpur on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev on November 12.

Yet four days ago, Imran Khan had announced that the pilgrims who came here on the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak could come here without a passport, meaning they would not need a visa. Now, just 48 hours after the inauguration of the Kartarpur corridor, Pakistan has switched to Pakistan saying that the Sikhs coming to Kartarpur must have a passport.

Hundreds of Sikh gurus could not attend the celebration of Nanak Jayanti by turning Pakistan. Pakistan has been changing its attitude on the Kartarpur corridor since the beginning of this year.

Earlier, the Indian intelligence department had also received information that terrorist camps were rampant in the area where Kartarpur is located, so the pilgrims going to Kartarpur have to be on guard.
