Most IRCTC officials are out

New Delhi, November 20, 2019, Wednesday

Twenty-five percent of the IRCTC officers were removed from the board as soon as the central government came into force, meaning they were replaced.

50 out of 200 officers of railway station in Delhi were sent to different zones. This move of the Center had put Sanatan in the Rail Bhawan. Some officers have been here for years.

Government spokesman said this was the beginning. There is still a need for a transfer order on some officers. Thus, in the year 2000, the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee took steps to reduce the staff of the Indian Railways which had a lot of staff.

The second term of Narendra Modi was announced by the government during the election campaign only to reduce the additional staff of the railways. In fact, the Vivek Devroy committee recommended that the railway staff be reduced in 2015 in its report. But the Narendra Modi government did not take drastic measures in the first term. Now it seems that such steps have begun.

The Vivek Devroy Committee also suggested that officers working at the table need to be sent to field work. The number of officers working at the desk is quite large and does not need to be.
