JNU closed for two years and named it Subhash Chandra Bose: Swami

New delhi date. November 26, 2019, Tuesday

BJP MP Subramanian Swamy made a statement to students of JNU protesting against the fee hike in Delhi, and he gave strange advice saying that JNU should be closed for two years. Swami also suggested that the name of JNU be changed to Subhas Chandra Bose.

Fierce protests have been run by students who have been opposing increased fees at JNU for the past several years. In the midst of this situation a committee was constituted by the Central Government in this regard. However, the report presented by the committee has not provided any great relief to the students.

The committee has advised the University that it should be decided to charge two thousand instead of the two thousand fees for providing facilities in the hostel. It also includes a charge of Rs 300 for water and electricity. In addition, it has been recommended that the fee increase for BPL students who are students be reduced by 75%.

It was decided to charge 2000 hostel fee from BPL students, which has been recommended to be reduced by 75% to 500 now. Students are demanding that the old fee be taken only and the increase is not allowed to us. Students also opposed the formation of the committee.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy had said that there are more left-leaning students in JNU so that when they are closed and reopened, their name may be changed to Subhas Chandra Bose.
