Jammu and Kashmir was scattered from the country for the second consecutive day due to heavy snowfall

Jammu and Kashmir received heavy snowfall for the second consecutive day. Due to which the entire state has been displaced from the rest of the country. Heavy snowfall continued to hamper traffic for the second consecutive day.

More than 4000 vehicles were trapped when the Jammu and Kashmir Highway closed. Avalanches have also occurred at various places in the state. Heavy snowfall has lost lives.

Himachal Pradesh has also received snowfall on this side, which has led to the state of cold weather in the state. In many places, the temperature mercury has dropped to near zero.

Roads connecting Rajouri, Poonch and Shopian districts of Jammu and Kashmir were also closed. Avalanches and snow accumulated along the road, forcing all these lanes to close. Trapped vehicles are mostly trucks, with most of the trucks trapped in the Nagrota, Udhampur, Ramban, Banihal, Sidhara, Samba and Kathua areas.

According to officials, the roads are smooth due to the snow, which does not allow any kind of transportation. One person was also killed due to lightning in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

In Udhampur district, 16 people were trapped due to snowfall and floods, which have been rescued by rescue workers. Special arrangements have also been made to protect people and vehicles on the highway.

All flights to Srinagar airport were canceled for the second consecutive day. Apart from Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh has also received snowfall. Due to this, mercury has reached minus in many areas of the state. The lowest temperature was recorded in Lahaul district in Himachal Pradesh. Where the mercury has dropped to minus 1.9 degrees.
