In Indian politics, Jagdambika Pal has a record of being the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for just seven days. On February 3, the then UP Governor Romish Bhandari, who had ousted Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, had sworn in as the CM of Loktantrik Congress party, which was separated from the Congress, overnight. Kalyan Singh went to the High Court against the Governor's action. The next day, on February 7, the court upheld the Governor's decision and left Kalyan Singh as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
