Sri Lanka currently holds the largest loan from China. Following which, it dances at the tip of China and allows Chinese submarines to cross the border into maritime areas despite India's introduction. China's melee eyes are on the Indian Ocean and China wants to take over it. Sri Lanka is also helping China in such a situation. Sri Lanka has borrowed multiple times from Exim Bank between 2007 and 2016 to develop the Humbantota port.

Sri Lanka was failing to repay its foreign debt, which eventually gave China the opportunity to develop its port on a 99-year lease, which had an impact on India as well and was opposed by India. India also introduced Sri Lanka to the submarine. However, it did not have any effect on Sri Lanka and is dealing with the kind of work that has begun for China.
