Boiler blast kills four in Mid-day mill

Four people were killed and several people were injured when a boiler exploded in the kitchen of an NGO that was building a mid-day meal for school children in Bangara village of Sugauli taluka in Motihari district of Bihar.

Upon hearing of the incident, the police and the fire brigade ran there and started relief work. The explosion was so overwhelming that even the walls of the building had collapsed.

The supervisor of the NGO who is responsible for overseeing this kitchen was missing. Police were investigating it. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, where some are said to be in critical condition.
