Big change in BSP designation: Mayawati redesigns Danish leader of opposition Lok Sabha

New delhi date. November 7, 2019, Thursday

BSP President Mayawati has once again appointed MP Danish Dan Ali as the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha.

Earlier, Mayawati had removed Danish Ali from the Lok Sabha as the central government had rejected the 370th Article giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

At that time Satish Mishra, the leader of the BSP Rajya Sabha, had endorsed the Modi government's move while Danish Ali was more than averse. That is why Mayawati removed Danish Ali from the post of Lok Sabha parliamentary party leader.

However, now again Mayawati has declared Danish Ali the leader of his own party in the Lok Sabha. There are ten BSP MPs in the current Lok Sabha. Danish Ali is the MP of Amroha. Thus, Danish Ali was a member of the Janata Dal (Secular) of former Prime Minister HD Devgovada. Danish Ali joined the BSP in March of this year before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
