Ayodhya verdict in foreign media, worldwide coverage

The Supreme Court's decision has been reached on the issue of disputed land in India, the Ramjanbhumi-Babri Masjid in Ayodhya for centuries.

Not only the country but the world was waiting for this decision as it was a much bigger decision than Indian history and politics. The world's major news agencies, newspapers, media sites and news channels have covered Ayodhya.

The Supreme Court of India on Saturday ruled in favor of Hindus in a very old case. The disputed site was being sued by Muslims. The decision is a major win for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his followers, by removing the country from secular bases to Hinduism.

The Washington Post, a US-based newspaper, also covered the issue and gave the headline 'India's Supreme Court clears way for a Hindu temple at the most disputed religious site',

The construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya was a big target for the Bharatiya Janata Party and other Hindu nationalists. After winning the elections in May, Narendra Modi has begun to implement his agenda. The verdict gives Hindus the right to land disputed, which is a major victory for Narendra Modi.

Pakistani newspaper Dawn wrote in this regard, 'India's SC says temple to be built on disputed Ayodhya site, alternative land to be provided for mosque'.

It was written in the article that the Supreme Court of India decided on Saturday to give the disputed land to Hindu parties in a very old case. A 16th-century mosque was demolished by Hindus in 1992 at this site. Muslims are now given separate land.

Apart from these three major newspapers, The Guardian and other foreign media houses also covered the Ayodhya verdict and termed it a victory for the BJP under Narendra Modi.
