14 killed in bus accident on Rajasthan highway

In Bikaner district of Rajasthan, a major road accident occurred on Monday morning in which 14 people were killed and 25 others were injured. In addition, both vehicles were set on fire after the accident, which was controlled by the houseowners.

At least 14 people were killed in a collision between a tourist bus and a truck on National Highway 11 near Sri Dungargarh and a fire broke out in both vehicles.

No details are currently available about whether the bus victim was a private or a Rajasthan transport corporation but the deceased were immediately admitted to Bikaner and the surrounding hospital. The accident happened near Jodasar and Seruna village on the Bikaner-Jaipur highway around 7:30 am in the early morning.

Both vehicles were set ablaze with passenger bus trucks, so the housewives pulled water through a pipe and subdued it. The truck crashed into the road after the accident, while the bus derailed.

The accident took place on the bus going from Bikaner to Jaipur. The crowd was frozen at the site and had to take the help of a bulldozer to move the debris. Preliminary investigations have revealed that there was an accident between the two vehicles due to fog.
