Vande Bharat Express, which delivers Katra in 8 hours from Delhi, was inaugurated

A modern train to save four hours of pilgrims going to Vaishnodevi, India launched this morning by Union Home Minister Amit Shah showing green flags.

Today, the train was formally inaugurated. The train will run regularly from October 5th.

With the launch of this train, the twelve hour journey from Delhi Katra will be reduced to eight hours.

The train, which has 16 air-conditioned compartments, will have 1100 passengers aboard.

The train car tickets for the train are Rs 1630 and executive class tickets are Rs 3015.

The train will run from Delhi to Katra and Katra to Delhi seven days a week. Like the Centennial Express train, the train has a 14in chair car and two executive coaches.

Each coach has 78 seats. Booking for this train has already started.

Apart from Amit Shah at the Delhi station, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and other government officials were present.
