The police reached there to resolve the dispute. While the police were explaining both sides, a detective threw stones at the police. Annoyed by the police, the crowd started throwing stones at the police while respecting efforts to disperse the crowd.

Senior police superintendent Bhupendra Singh had to be admitted to the hospital for serious injuries. The stoned youths were identified. They will be arrested soon, police said.
