Filmmakers including Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, were spotted at the PM Modi residence yesterday.
PM Modi used to talk about celebrating Gandhi's birth anniversary by inviting Bollywood stars to his home to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary.
PM Modi said, Gandhi's ideas are synonymous with simplicity. PM Modi appealed to the Bollywood stars to visit the Gandhi Museum built in Dandi and visit the Statue of Unity at Cavadia.
He said that there is a need to encourage creativity in the country. TV and movie artists are doing a lot of good work to spread Mahatma Gandhi's ideas.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan said, I appreciate PM Modi's efforts to disseminate Bapu's views. As a creative community there is a lot we can do about this. I trust PM Modi for this.
Shah Rukh said, I thank PM Modi for bringing Gandhiji's thoughts to a stage for sharing. I believe that the country and the world need to be re-acquainted with Gandhi's ideas.
