Our helicopter accidentally broke down at Balakot: Air Force president confesses

New delhi date. 4 October 2019, Friday

Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Bhadouria, the newly appointed Chief of the Air Force, held a press conference for the first time today. In the meantime, he confessed that during the Balakot Air Strike, our air force accidentally dropped our helicopter MI-17. That was a big mistake.

There was a celestial war between India and Pakistan in February. At that time, a missile from India was unknowingly fired on an Indian helicopter. The helicopter crashed and six Air Force officers and a civilian were killed. The Air Force has assured that the incident is being thoroughly investigated and action will be taken against the culprits.

Air Marshal Bhadoria today said that the sky between the two countries was dogfight after India blew up Pakistan's terrorist bases. Pakistan sent an F-16, against which India's MiG-21 was equipped. The US-made Pakistani aircraft F-16 crashed in that fight. At that time a helicopter of the Indian Air Force was flying near Budgam in Srinagar.

The helicopter was ordered to return. But before returning, the Air Force team had launched a spider missile from the ground up. Staff had the illusion that the helicopter belonged to the enemy, so a missile was fired at it.

An investigation was initiated by the Court of Inquiry immediately after the incident. The investigation ended last Saturday. Accordingly, four officers have been found guilty. The action against them will range from sentence to court martial as per the Air Force norms.

Because the ground staff on the ground violated the standard operating procedure. This is what led to the tragedy. There are specific rules on how to operate in all three armies of the army. This is known as the standard operating procedure. Breaking it is also a crime.

He said that the six Air Force officers killed would be compensated according to Air Force law. Meanwhile, while talking to reporters today, Air Marshal Bhadoria revealed how many video footage of Balakot air strike.

He also said that Rafal planes and S-400 missiles purchased from Russia would increase the strength and strength of India. Air Force Day will be celebrated next October 8th. He also talked about his preparations during the conference. The Indian Air Force was established on October 8, 1932, 86 years ago.

When will the raffle arrive?

India has signed a deal to buy multi-roller fighter aircraft from France. The first Rafale jet of the deal will be received by India on Defense Minister Rajnath Singh's visit to France next week. But the plane won't arrive in India immediately. In India, it will be until May-2020.

But the plane will be symbolically given to the Minister of Defense going to France, after which Rafal's batch will arrive in India. This will greatly increase India's air power. Air Marshal Bhadoria has been instrumental in the passing of the Rafale deal. The raffle will likely be set up at the Ambala Air Force Station.

Ambala is located at a strategic point not too close and not too far from the Pakistani border. It is believed to have been selected. The border from Ambala is about one and a half kilometers away. The pilots have been trained for these aircraft, while the necessary infrastructure has also been built.

We will create the fifth generation fighter

Most of the fighter aircraft currently used worldwide are fourth generation (fourth generation). Fifth Generation fighter planes will be needed to meet the challenges ahead.

But instead of buying a fifth-generation ultra-expensive aircraft, India wants to get it ready on the doorstep. Of course, it will take the help of foreign companies, but efforts are under way in India to make it available under Make in India.

The work for this has been entrusted to the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). The light compact aircraft Tejas, manufactured in India, has also been set to be included in the Air Force. The process to purchase 114 aircraft from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has reached its final phase.
