Orissa: Forces 6 old men to eat feces in the magic crowd

Ganjam (Orissa), Ta. 3 October 2019 Thursday

Six women of Gopurpur village in Ganjam district of Orissa died due to illness but were forced to eat their feces after smashing the teeth of six village elders on suspicion that they had been killed with black magic, police said on Wednesday.

When six women died and another seven were ill, it was rumored that some six elderly villagers were practicing kala magic. Angry people beat their six teeth this Tuesday, and were then forced to eat feces. Six elders were forced out of the home.

These people shouted in rescue, but no one from the village came forward to rescue them. Somehow, when the news reached the district headquarters, a police squad immediately ran there and rescued the six elderly. By then, however, what was about to happen had already happened.

Police Inspector Brijesh Roy told the media that in this connection, we arrested a total of 29 persons, including 22 women. Six of the six elderly are over the age of 60. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Police further said that we also have the names of some other people involved in the incident. Some people have fled. We are looking for them. In this event we are going to take action against all the respondents.

Hospital sources said that six to six persons were in stable condition.
