(PTI) Kabul, Ta. October 6, 2019, Sunday

Despite the collapse of talks between the Taliban and the United States, a widespread campaign against terrorists is taking place in Afghanistan. So far 89 militants have been killed and 67 injured.

Afghanistan's Defense Ministry spokesman Rohullah Ahmadzai said operations against the Taliban were under way across Afghanistan. In many areas, the Taliban have to retreat.

Rohullah Ahmedzai said security forces have regained control of Bahark district in the province of Tahar. Internal warfare has been ongoing between Taliban militants and security forces in Afghanistan for a long time.

In many places, the Taliban have been forced to retreat. In the last 24 clashes, 89 Taliban have been killed and 67 others have been injured in the province of Tahar alone. The Afghan government has been sweeping internal terror groups for almost two decades.

IAS made its presence in Afghanistan in 2015. The organization has carried out several fierce attacks in the country. In Afghanistan, last Saturday, only 20 percent of voters exercised their franchise in the presidential election. This figure is much lower than the 2014 general election.

According to one estimate, out of the estimated one crore registered voters, only two million voted. People are believed to have avoided voting in the wake of terrorist group Taliban threats. The Taliban also attacked several places during the presidential election.

Recently, negotiations with the US Taliban ended without reaching any conclusions. Since then, the number of terrorist attacks in Afghanistan has increased. Afghanistan today has had the highest increase in security instability in Afghanistan.

The situation has not only worsened but has become even more complicated when the Afghan war has been the longest in US history. In 2018, the death toll from Taliban attacks reached a record high. In addition, there is a shortage of resources in the wake of prolonged drought prospects. As a result, the proportion of migration in Afghanistan has also increased.
