Indian citizens who could not meet the conditions of regular stay in the country were sent to Delhi via Boeing 747

Mexico City, Oct 17, 2019, Thursday

Due to mounting pressure from the United States, Mexico has begun trying to renege on those illegally entering its borders. For the first time, Mexican immigration officials have sent 311 Indians, including women, from different parts of the country for the first time.

Following US pressure, Mexico has strictly applied its tourism policy and for the first time dispatched 311 Indians living in different parts of the country, including a woman.

According to a report by Mexico's National Migration Institute, Indian nationals who could not meet the conditions of regular stay in the country have been flown from Toluba City International Airport to Boeing 747 and sent to New Delhi.

Indians living in different areas of Mexico were presented to the immigration authorities of Oaxaca, Baja California, Veracruz, Chiapas, Sonora, Mexico City, Durango and Tabasco.

US President Donald Trump warned in June that Mexico would impose border tariffs on all items imported from Mexico if it did not rein in people entering the US from the border of their country.

This is the step taken by Mexico following the US statement. Mexico agreed to increase its border security and expand its policy of sending back tourists.

According to a statement issued from Mexico, "This is possible because of the dialogue and coordination with the embassy of the Asian country and their identity can be repatriated to the citizens by strict adherence to the tourist law and its rules."
