Madhya Pradesh bus kills in river: 6 killed, 19 injured

A bus driver lost control of a bus in Madhya Pradesh's Raisen district fell into the river and at least six passengers were killed.

The bus was traveling from Indore to Chhatarpur. There were a total of 45 passengers. Another 19 were injured, of which nine were critically injured, doctors said. He was referred to Bhopal.

The bus left for Chhatarpur at around 1 pm on Wednesday night. The accident took place about forty kilometers from the capital Bhopal, according to police.

The driver lost control of the bus while the bus was passing through the river bridge. As soon as the incident was reported, the police rushed there and shifted the injured to Raisen's hospital.

The river was full due to rain. Some of the passersby are missing that swimmers were investigating. As many passengers as possible could be saved. Other than those whose condition is critical, the remaining passengers are currently undergoing treatment at Raisen's hospital, police said.
