Indian resident of Dubai donated Rs 100 crore to NIT

Sudhkar Rao, the chairman of the Gemini Group, who is a native Indian and now living in Dubai, donated one hundred crore rupees to Warangal's National Institute of Technology.

Recently NIT had a Diamond Jubilee Ceremony. At the ceremony, Sudhakar Rao was made the chief guest as an alumnus of the institute. At the ceremony, Sudhakar Rao announced donation of Rs 100 crore to the organization.

The donation was made to equip NIT with the latest technology and set up an incubation center, according to a Gulf News report. Sudhakar Rao, originally from Tamil Nadu, received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from this institute in 1976-77.

Currently Sudhakar Rao runs the Gemini Group in Dubai which has an annual turnover of crores of rupees. Rao said that there is no shortage of talent in India and especially in South India. I am sure that equipping Warangal's NIT with the latest technology will accelerate the career of many youths.
